Smallville is now going on it's 8th season and still going strong. Though they did lose some viewers in season 6, they seemed to make it up in 7th round. Now in the 8th season we should finally see Clark fly! We hope. The show has been going for some time now and they've done a good job of prolonging his eventual growth in to Superman, but they can only hold off for so long. With the Justice League started and only so many more abilities for Clark to really learn (flight may be the only one left) the series is drawing closer to it's finale. Either way this season should have some interesting twists and turns, especially with the introduction of Doomsday.

Doomsday was the only character in DC comics to ever kill Superman. He's basically a spiky gray alien full of nothing but rage. Interestingly enough he's played by a normal looking actor who's character on the show is human (or so we think?).
