TROPHY - "TROPHY"
Indie rock band Trophy has put together a collection of mellow, stripped-down tracks in their self-titled debut.
It's not often that I can pop a CD in and play the album from start to finish without getting bored, but Trophy has managed to make a fan out of me. Usually a band front loads all their best material at the beginning of a record. But my favorite songs lay right in the heart of the tracklist. "Nothing To Lose" sounds like it belongs on the FOO FIGHTERS's "In Your Honor" album and "Overdose" is a sweet ballad to a new lover.
The record is suprisingly mature for a first effort. I look forward to good things from this band.
