Yesterday, August 21st 2008, Microsoft held a Canadian event in Toronto called X’08. We were fortunate enough to be invited and had a chance to check out the newest games heading to you between now and early (we hope) next year. The event itself took place on 126 John St at a night club called Circa. The venue was dim lit and photo opportunities were a bit of a problem, but all in all the location was a good choice. As far as the selection of games goes, well here’s a list of some of what was there:
Microsoft
Gears of War 2
Fable 2
Viva Piñatas 2
Banjo
Scene It 2
Too Human
Activision
Call Of Duty World at War
Guitar Hero World Tour
Madagascar 2
Spider-Man Web of Shadows
Bathesda
Fallout 3
Disney
Disney Sing it
Bolt
Pure
High School Musical 3
EA
Facebreaker
FIFA’09
NBA Live’09
NHL’09
Tiger Woods’09
Konami
DDR Univerese 3
Silent Hill Homecoming
Lucas Arts
Fracture
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Midway
Blitz 2
Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe
TNA Impact Wrestling
MTV Games
Rock Band 2
Sega
Sonic Unleashed
Golden Axe
Other studios were WarnerBro Edios, THQ, Ubisoft and more.
As you can see there was a more than decent turn out of software. Obviously there were some more important games than others and given that it’s a Microsoft event, it was separated between 3 floors. First (ground) floor had all the 3rd party titles, second floor had the 1st party titles and right at the top was a floor dedicated to Gears of War 2. I’m not going to lie; most of our time was spent on the 3rd floor.
We had a chance to get some hands on with some really great games and were lucky enough to have a one on one interview with Cliff Bleszinski. Check back while we update the games section with interviews and articles.

I still don't know how I feel about Superman facing Ninjas.

The same people that convinced Superman he couldn't beat a ninja who shoots ice from his hands, also convinced Master Chief that this glass was unbreakable.
