The House of the Dead: OVERKILL™ charges you with mowing down waves of infected, blood-thirsty zombies.
The Wii slowly makes its way in to the “M” rated crowd and thus far as been met with complete and utter disappointment. The way the Wii is marketed it’s one hell of a daunting task to take the demographic of their competitors. This is the same for Sony and Microsoft who are trying to make their way in to the Wii market. So far we’ve seen a limited number of mature rated Wii games, and so far we’ve seen them all disappear.
Personally I’m all for the M rated games, but that’s not why I bought a Wii and I doubt it’s way you did either. I want my Nintendo characters and the semi-cracked out colorful worlds they live in. If I’m craving some violence, bloods, guts and gore, I’m not going to waste anytime on the Wii, I’m going straight for my trusty Xbox 360 or PS3 (after dusting it off).
None the less, here is a game announced by Sega following The House of the Dead series and though the rating is still pending (RP) it’s safe to say we can look at an M rated title. Don’t get me wrong, I may not sound excited for this, but the fact of the matter is, I am. The Grindhouse inspired trailer gives a great feel to the game and is impossible not to enjoy.
“The House of the Dead: OVERKILL™ charges you with mowing down waves of infected, blood-thirsty zombies in a last-ditch effort to survive Bayou City and uncover the horrific truth behind the origins of The House of the Dead.
Survival horror as it’s never been seen before! A pulp-style take on the classic SEGA light-gun shoot ‘em up franchise. Back when the famous Agent G was still fresh out of the academy, he teamed up with hard-boiled bad-ass Agent Washington to investigate stories of mysterious disappearances in small-town Louisiana. Little did they know what blood-soaked mutant horror would await them in the streets and swamps of Bayou City.
