Vudu is a new way of downloading HD movies straight to a hard drive to be watched on your TV. Even more exciting is their new release of HDX formated downloads that are even better looking that the typical compressed HD.
The box itself is by far the most sleek and sophisticated looking of it's kind. The remote for instance looks like something straight out of Star Trek. The menu system is easy to find your way through and is easy on the eyes. Using large white on black fonts and image thumbnails, navigation is a breeze.

There are two available Vudu boxes, the Vudu and the Vudu XL. The key difference between the two is the massive difference in hard drive space. The Vudu can hold up to 250 gbs (or 50 purchased movies) where as the XL holds up to 1 Terabyte (or 500 purchased movies).

The Vudu box is available for $299 and movies range up from .99 cent rentals. Yeah, less than a dollar for a movie rental. Even if you're not interested in the .99 cent rentals they have new movies available for $3.99 (rent) or 19.99 (own).
The industry is slowly moving over to 100% digital media, and although some us still enjoy having our DVD physically present, the cost effectiveness of this will more than likely change your mind.
