There are crappy beers, and then there is this...

I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all had a crappy beer once or twice in our lives; however, Long Trail brewing Co. in Vermont is about to give crappy beer to a whole new meaning. The brewer is set to sign a contract with the Central Vermont Public Service’s “Cow Power” program. Essentially what this means is that the brewery will be using the methane gas given off by cow manure to generate electricity.

Personally, I was never aware that cow poop could be used as a form of energy and what’s even better is that it’s apparently a very brown green form of energy. As long as this doesn’t make anything I drink or eat taste like crap I think more people should jump on board. You could even feed the cows Taco Bell or other foods that run through your body in a matter of minutes to maximize their output.
