Appearance:
Creamy white head of foam sits atop a bright golden coloured liquid. Carbonation level retained throughout.
Smell:
Wet grains, a whiff of thick malt being pressed out, present early and often. Then this unusual caramel note of burnt sticky toffee assaults the nose.
Taste:
Light body. Mouthfeel is of sweetish malt mixed gently with extremely restrained hop bitterness. Middle remains malty and sweet with an underlying graininess. Finish is fairly abrupt with more sweet malt pushing to the fore, and just when there is a hop note chiming in, malt slides over the palate and sweeps it all away down the throat. The residual flavour is of wet grains and a liquid that is thinning, yet sweetish in nature.
